On June 11th, 2019, Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Story Creator Mode, which is a quest creation tool. All players with Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is free and the tool is now open for public testing. Story Creator Mode allows players to create their own stories and play stories created by other players. This tool creation task also supports cross-platform play including PS4, XboxOne (Xbox One X) and PC.

The story creator mode lets you use characters from the main game and set conditions for mission completion. You can also set up strings of dialogue using a tool similar to the one used by the actual AC Odyssey developers. The tool set looks pretty robust, and quests created in the mode are playable across all platforms. You can even create a branching narrative that can result in multiple outcomes, and the dialogue options allow you to lie.

Players can choose from the six mission goals of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, such as saving or assassinate the target and going to the designated location. Based on Assassin's Creed Odyssey's branch dialogue system, players can create their own branch story and have multiple endings. Players can use historical characters or fictional characters in the game to recreate historical events or create their own stories in the game. Players can define role-playing options in the conversation system, such as lying or attacking NPC options similar to those in the game.

"You can pretty much write whatever you want within Story Creator Mode,” said Ubisoft Quebec's Ellie Rhodes, adding that the dialogue tools available to players are the same ones used to develop the game.

Ubisoft also announced Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece. Similar to what Ubisoft did with Assassin's Creed Origins and Ancient Egypt, players will be able to explore ancient Greece in the new mode without having to worry about coming into contact with enemies. Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece "features 300 stations where players can take guided tours to learn more about Ancient Greek philosophy, war, daily life, mythology, and architecture.”

To enter a story created by Story Creator Mode, players must have Assassin's Creed Odyssey games, if you want to create their own stories; players simply need to visit the Story Creator Mode website via a PC.
