Today, Zenimax is revealing the first details about Scalebreaker and the accompanying Update 23. Both are due to release next month this August.

Update 23 is likewise promising multi-bidding at guild trader spots, multi-crafting, better undaunted key management, and updates to battlegrounds too.

Scalebreaker introduces two new PvE dungeons—Moongrave Fane and Lair of Maarselok—that explore the aftermath of the story conclusions from Elsweyr.

Here are the descriptions of each dungeon:

Moongrave Fane

Deep within the ancient ruins of Moongrave Fane, a former member of the Dragonguard and his fellow vampires of the Hollowfang Clan have felled and captured a Dragon. However, they wish to do more than simply destroy the humbled beast, as the clan prepares a ritual to drain the Dragon of its blood and gain its terrible power!

Lair of Maarselok

Neighboring Elsweyr, Grahtwood's Elden Root tree is threatened by a deathly corruption that originates from the nearby jungles of Tenmar and the Lair of Maarselok. Grahtwood's protectors have tried and failed to destroy the Dragon at the center of the blight, so a truce has been called between the forest spirit Selene and her captor, the warlock Carindon. Together, and with your help, they must attempt to save the Elden Root tree before the corruption can spread.

Both of the new dungeons will be available in Normal, Veteran, and Veteran Hard Mode and will include new powerful rewards and collectibles including mementos, furnishings, and even a new pet.

In addition to Scalebreaker, which is a paid dungeon DLC, this August will also see Update 23 roll out for free to all Elder Scrolls Online players. This update will include "multi-crafting" to craft, deconstruct, and refine more than one item at a time, multi-bidding for up to 10 Guild Trader locations, and a big update to Undaunted Keys and rewards.
