E3 2019: Madden NFL 20 Might Have The X-Factor Abilities
Electronic Arts kicked off E3 2019 with its annual EA Play event on Saturday, June 8. The event released some new details, including Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Apex Legends, as well as its annual sports lineup, including FIFA 20 and Madden NFL 20.
With Madden NFL 20, EA Tiburon seems to be catering to both enthusiasts and casual fans in equal measure. It hard to distinguish the moment-to-moment gameplay from Madden NFL 19, so if you played last year, you’ll feel right at home. It will be on PC again this year, it's arriving on August 2, and at long last a genuine career mode is returning to Madden, called Face of the Franchise.
At EA Play at E3, we learned more about Madden 20's Superstar X-Factor, the system that lets you unlock special abilities for star players after completing objectives. The new Superstar X-Factor mechanic can turn stars into superstars through good play, and new Run-Pass Option plays gives adept players more ways to let their skills shine. The X-Factor will help differentiate elite players from one another, created to "make the sure the stars felt like stars" according to Seann Graddy, the game's executive producer.

Madden NFL 20's X-Factor abilities turn elite players into superheroes
Select players are dubbed Superstars, and 50 of those Superstars also have the X-Factor. Superstar players have innate abilities and unique animations. For Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, for example, completing four passes of thirty yards or more will unlock his exclusive 'Bazooka' ability, which will increase his max passing distance by fifteen yards. X-Factor players, like cover star Patrick Mahomes II, have both Superstar traits and special abilities, the “X-Factor,” that can be unlocked during a game.
Meanwhile, in Face of the Franchise you create a quarterback, complete with an archetype, and steer them through the college championships, the NFL draft, and into a starting quarterback role in the NFL. A new Scenario Engine will generate "unique playable scenarios, events, and dynamic challenges" in both the Face of the Franchise and the standard Franchise modes "that build the story of each fan's distinct NFL career."
Other new features are the addition of the RPO - run - pass options - new signature animations, and more formations ripped from the playbooks of NFL teams. But timing is key with RPOs, and it's quite easy for things to go awry if you don't make a smart, quick choice. RPOs can be daunting for new players because they require a level of initiative that is not common in regular games. Skilled players will undoubtedly use them to great effect. Throughout franchise mode, EA’s new Scenario Engine will create unique storylines and goals to work towards. New plays will be added to Madden during the season based on real plays.
There will be a closed beta of Madden NFL 20 from June 14-16. In a few days, all our expectations and its mystery will be unraveled. Of course, don't forget that our website is a game gold coin sales platform. The Madden NFL 20 Coins you need can be bought at a low price. Collect them first in case you need them next time.
