A new update for World of Warcraft Classic's ongoing beta has just dropped, and this one may be of great interest to all existing Closed Beta players.

For testing purposes, Blizzard has also reduced the cost to respec closed beta characters by 99%.
To further help with the testing efforts, Blizzard has also reduced the cost to respec – that is, to reset the stats and skills – of all closed beta characters for all players. The change in cost is quite monumental – it will be charged in silver instead of gold, and is reduced by 99 percent from its previous cost. However, this will only be applied to the beta itself.

Finally, Blizzard also announced in the post that the Arathi Basin will also be made available for limited testing in the Closed Beta. Blizzard has raised the level cap in the closed WoW Classic Beta from level 30 to 40 and has unlocked Arathi Basin for limited testing. Players looking to experience it need characters that are level 20 and higher in order to participate, so keep that in mind. According to Blizzard, raising the level cap allows players to level up in different zones, including Stranglethorn Vale, the Arathi Highlands, and Desolace. In other battleground-related news – Warsong Gulch has been closed.

"Aside from that, we don't have any announcements to make at this time", Bornakk added.  "I know all of you are very excited about this game and we thank you for your patience as we continue to develop it. More information will be coming soon!"

WoW Classic Beta testing for employees has begun and more information about World of Warcraft's Vanilla server option will be released soon.

While Blizzard doesn't have any announcement to make at this point regarding Classic and a possible open beta, more news on the Blizzard's Vanilla server option for World of Warcraft will be released soon.
