While there are still a few weeks to go before season 10 officially kicks off, if you're playing Fortnite on a PC, you may need to upgrade your gear for next season. Starting in season 10, the PC version of Fortnite will require graphics cards that can run Microsoft's DirectX 11. That said, the new requirements are not particularly high -- in fact, it's more a matter of implementing existing requirements.

Fortnite PC Requirements Being Updated Microsoft's DirectX 11 For Season 10

Developer Epic Games has announced that the minimum availability requirements for Fortnite PCS will change in season 10.

Epic on its website:

"Starting with Season 10, the PC version of Fortnite will require a graphics card capable of running Microsoft DirectX 11.

While a DirectX 11-capable graphics card has always been one of Fortnite’s system requirements, we’ve kept support online for players with older graphics cards - so they could keep playing!

However, when Season 10 begins, Fortnite will no longer be compatible with these older graphics cards. This allows us to focus our development and testing efforts to further optimize the Fortnite experience for all players."

When does Season 10 start? EPIC has yet to announce an exact start date for season 10. What we do know is that season 9 will end Aug. 1. So you must complete all challenges and unlock all season 9 combat pass rewards.

Fortnite V9.30 has been updated to introduce a new healing item for the game: Chug Splash. When thrown, this item heals you and other players in its blast range. Subsequent patches addressed various bugs and other issues affecting the game over the past few days.
