A preview of the items and systems changes coming in the October 16 update

With the upcoming Blade & Ghoul update on October 16 are several notable system changes and item updates to improve your Blade & Soul experience. Complete details on these changes will be outlined in the patch notes next week, but for now, here's a preview of some of the changes that are coming with this update.

Unrefined Stormsiege/Wildsong/Thundercall Bracelets

They can now be purchased from the Emperor's Tomb Exchange Merchant for 8 Oblivion Fragments and 6 Elder Scales.

Weapons

The cost to upgrade all weapons up to Grand Celestial and equivalent (as well as Thornbreaker Stage 1 – 3) will be reduced; full details will be outlined in the patch notes on October 15.

Jewels and Elements

Enlightened Jewels and Enlightened Elements are being introduced and can be purchased from the Dragon Express at the following prices:

Enlightened Jewel	1 x Gold 1 x Elysian Crystal
Enlightened Element	1 x Gold 1 x Moonstone Crystal

 

You can also exchange your Legendary Jewels and Elements for Enlightened Jewels and Elements at the Dragon Express. You'll receive 3 Enlightened Jewels or Elements for each Legendary Jewel or Element you exchange.

Enlightened Jewels and Elements will be replacing existing Legendary Jewels and Elements when upgrading the following items:

Belt	Skybreaker/Horizon
Gloves	King, Starfire

Upgrade Materials

Vengeance Orbs and Incinerator Stones are being phased out and will be able to be Antiqued for Bloodstone Fragments:

1 Vengeance Orb → 28 Bloodstone Fragments

1 Incinerator Stone → 13 Bloodstone Fragments

Achievements

The Achievement requirement to purchase Avenging Warrior Soul Shield Chests has been removed and the purchase cost for Nova Core and Ivory Beluga Soul Shields has been reduced:

The Ivory Beluga Soul Shield Chests are now account bound, and Whirlwind Soul Shields have been removed from the Battleground Trader.
