Warframe Empyream is Coming July 6

Rebecca Ford, the Community Director on Warframe, took to the stage at this year's E3 2019 PC Gaming Show and revealed a bit of information about the game's upcoming expansion, Empyrean. Warframe Empyrean, as its now called, blasts 1-4 players from land to space in fully-customisable vessels for an action-packed dose of ship-to-ship combat. This expansion had been known as Railjack beforehand, the newly named Empyrean expansion represents a significant new addition to Warframe's sprawling world: ship-to-ship combat in space.  In it we can see more of a Railjack ship in action, which you can use to traverse the majestic interstellar world of Warframe.

First announced last year at Tennocon, Empyrean takes a team of three players into orbit around planets to fight against enemy capital ships. It's kind of like FTL in that each player on the ship will have different responsibilities to juggle, like putting out fires or repelling enemy invasions, boarding the enemy ship to sabotage it from the inside, or shooting at squadrons of enemy ships. TennoCon is Warframe's annual conference to celebrate the game's sprawling community, and we expect that Digital Extremes will dive into the upcoming expansion a bit more heavily during their livestreams next month.

The trailer debuting at the PC Gaming Show does hint at some exciting details, like space flight being available in multiple areas instead of just above Venus. Though the short trailer did give us a nice look at what we can expect to learn more about when TennoCon and TennoLive kick in next month. Rebecca Ford of developer Digital Extremes announced that the expansion, which is properly called Empyrean, will have its full reveal stream on July 6 at TennoCon 2019.

There are more than 10 days left to find out the answer. Let's wait together.
